For instance, if I tell you to think about a pink elephant, you will immediately envision a pink elephant, likely based on the most recent depiction you’ve seen.

It’s important to understand that while the mind generates these thoughts, it is not you. You are the conscious observer of these thoughts—the awareness behind the thought generation process. As David Goggins and other thought leaders suggest, while the mind controls everything, it's the self that truly governs behavior by curating attention.
